The Commemorative Air Force Museum has received a Lancair IVP as a donation (owner can't renew insurance due to age). The aircraft must be parted out due to liability concerns. No damage history. Continental TSIO-550E3; 104 hours since new. Hartzell 3-blade, full feathering propeller. We'll sell the complete FWF for $69,500! Air conditioning; cabin pressurization intercooler; winglets and strobes; speed brakes; oxygen system; fire suppression system; lots more. Email me for a list of available parts. Anything in particular you're looking for? Drop me an email and I'll let you know if it's left on the plane, or call me at (913) 461-6777 and I’ll try to answer any questions (leave a message if I don't answer; hopefully I'm out flying!). The CAF is a non-profit flying museum; all funds will go to restoring and maintaining our World War II vintage airplanes. Thanks!

I wonder if anyone would notice if I put my tail number on this and called it a 235/550...
Just kidding...
It is a shame to see planes parted out due to liability concerns, especially great ones like this sounds like. I would love to have it flying.
Good luck with the sale.

I'm searching for a power plant for my Lancair IV project. What is included in a "firewall foreword" package compared to what's included in the list price for an engine from Continental or an overhaul shop like Barrett or Lycon? Baffling, prop & governor, what else?

If this is the Spitfire camo painted IV-P I think it is, it is a beautiful airplane.

Hello all. We've sold the FWF portion of the airplane, and have a serious inquiry on the interior. Once we figure out what all constitutes the "interior," I'll be updating a list of remaining parts. Thanks for everybody's interest, and if I haven't gotten back to you I apologize. Things have been a little crazy around here...

Great news. Will you please update us if the buyer came from this site or elsewhere (when you have time). It is useful to know if the Classifieds are effective.

Yes, it worked. www.lancairtalk.net is an awesome resource for us all!

I bought this entire FWF package for my IV-P project. It was a very clean installation and nice engine/prop. Due to the years of age vs. hours on the engine, I'll be having the engine torn down and fixed as necessary.

Thank you to all of you who post here, reply, answer questions, etc. The collective knowledge and wisdom in this group is amazing.

Cheers!

Hello all. We've sold everything that I've got a listing of; now the mechanics are removing small bits (and hopefully making a list). When they're done I'll (hopefully) be able to list what remains and what we're asking for it. Thanks Dan for buying the engine. We've got a Fairchild PT-19 in need of some love; those funds will go a long way toward getting it airborne again!
