SOLD GTX-33ES and [SOLD GTX-330ES] Transponder

Postby Paul Miller » Sat Sep 03, 2016 9:11 pm

I have 1-GTX-33ES being upgraded at Garmin. It should qualify for the "Garmin Shopping Spree" through September. They will be available mid-September and will have Garmin 8130, tray, connector, Garmin 90-day warranty and both are ADS-B ready. The 33 looks like a remote should.

The 33ES is listed for 2895 on BarnStormer. Discount for members here. I ship worldwide. I consider trades. I have a newly upgraded 330ES arriving also in September.

the GTX330ES is now ready for delivery. On this site it is 2595. I can take a 330 non-ES in trade.

Re: GTX-33ES and GTX-330ES $500 FAA REBATE

Postby Paul Miller » Thu Sep 22, 2016 8:28 pm

Both the GTX-330ES and GTX-33ES (remote) are in my hands today from Garmin with fresh ADS-B upgrade. They have tray, connector, 8103 and warranty. They are eligible for the FAA's $500 rebate announced Sep-19 this week. You apply for the rebate online, get a number, install the unit (both these qualify), fly 30 minutes and receive your money. This is a great opportunity to get money for ADS-B and even if you don't get these units, you can acquire one of the other eligible models. Rebate slots are limited. Grab one and get on board.

If you want one of these units, give me a shout.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but the rebate only applies to certified aircraft not experimental. I asked that specific question at Oshkosh.

well, they better remove the GTX-23ES from the list and change the eligibility from "single engine airplane". I have my slot and equipment being installed in the Legacy.

my emphasis below but clearly the program applies to Lancairs and others. This is part of the rebate FAQ. When applying for a rebate slot your N-number is pulled up with the rebate form with the FAA data.

Does a certified installer or repair station have to do the installation to qualify for the Rebate?
Aircraft owners who have a standard airworthiness aircraft (e.g. Part 23, 25, 27, 29) may have the ADS-B equipment installed by a repair station or an appropriately-licensed A&P mechanic. Owners of aircraft certificated as Experimental or Light Sport must adhere to applicable regulations and established standards when installing ADS-B equipment.
