I am looking for the special wrenches to remove the fuel injectors. TCM claims that you have to remove the induction system if you don't have these wrenches. The description: injector wrench part number 8168-IA or a suitable substitute solution per TCM SID97-3F?
Thanks
George

George, you don't have to remove the induction system although one or two of the nuts will require a special tool. I use 1/4 inch drive with universal joints and various extension lengths and small sockets for almost all of the nuts. Then, take a socket and grind one side off for the inaccessible nuts. See my picture. That washer in the picture is the injector washer so you can see the size reference. Going back on, i was able to get my torque wrench on the nuts using the same setups. It works, just takes a little time and some flexible joints.
We may make a new topic so that others can add their setups and photographs.

Maybe we could include a section to share, rent, borrow or beg for special tools or fixtures.

HI THERE
LOWES sells a socket that will remove the injectors; particularly the pesty #2 injector.
it is called:
KOBALT 74696 3/8 * 10mm
it is listed as a "universal" socket.
it will fit in place and has an external hex surface that you can put a standard wrench upon.
have fun
peter
